Whissonsett & District Horticultural Society

Information and Contacts:

Whissonsett and District Horticultural Society meet on the third Thursday of the month at Whissonsett Village Hall, London Street, Whissonsett, NR20 5ST.

We are a small but friendly and thriving group of amateur gardeners.  Throughout the year we have talks on various garden related topics delivered by a range of speakers.

There are summer and autumn shows, where the competition is fierce and friendly, alongside visits to gardens, a plant fair and quizzes against other local gardening societies.

The current committee consists of Roland Axman (President), Sian Griffiths (Chair), Jill Jarman (Secretary), Jenny Jones (Treasurer), Mary Flook and Cynthia Pate.  We would ideally like to recruit two new members to the committee so if you would like to join us, we would be delighted to hear from you.

If you would like more details on our Society or information on becoming a member please contact:

Sian    (01328) 701453
Jill       (01362) 668709
Jenny  (01328) 316209

Membership is £10.00 a year due in April.  Visitors are always most welcome at our meetings (£2.00 per person).

At our monthly meetings, there is a raffle, sales table, and a flower of the month competition.  Last, but not least, homemade refreshments.
